Happy Saturday!

This is one of the cards we did at today's "Shape Up" Stamp Camp. It's inspired by a swap I got somewhere last year (no name on the back of it). I changed the colors to one of my favorite combos of colors from the Cottage Wall DSP - Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive & Orchid Opulence. I love the patterns in this DSP. Anyway, this card features Faux Stictching in both Old Olive Marker (on the Whisper White) and on the Eggplant, which was punched with the Medium Oval Punch. The flower center is punched with the Small Oval punch. The card base is Soft Suede. The greeting is from Trendy Trees and is stamped in white and embossed.

At the Movies...

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a wedding shower we had at church for a friend of mine. The shower theme was Movies, so this Filmstrip card was perfect for it. I taught this technique at a Techniques class a while back. Their wedding colors are Handsome Hunter and Night of Navy, so I used them on this card. The base is Shimmery White cardstock on a 1/4 sheet of Handsome Hunter and uses the Voila to Go and Loads of Love stamp sets. The Spiral Punch is used to make the Handsome Hunter filmstrip and the images are stamped in Night of Navy craft ink and embossed with Clear embossing powder and punched out with the 1.25" square punch on Shimmery White. I used the new Big Shot Texturz Plate Perfect Details on the Shimmery White for some texture and finished it with Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon.

Since I already shared the Build-a-Bear boy, today I thought I'd show you a cute card featuring the girl Build-a-Bear. I got the idea for this card from the Demonstrator side of the Stampin' Up website, which is a great perk of being a demonstrator - lots of ideas!This card uses the Beary Best Friends stamp set stamped in Basic Black on watercolor paper. I colored her in with Stampin' Pastels and then stamped 2 balloons and popped one up with a Stampin' Dimensional. I used the Pawsitively Prints DSP scored and folded over at the top, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon and Mini Brads. The card base is Kraft cardstock.

Build-a-Bear Boy!

Sorry it's been a while since my last post - I was getting my son ready to go back for his junior year of college - wow time flies! Seems like just yesterday that he was a fan of Build-a-bear.

I wanted to share a sample with you today using one of the sets from the new Holiday Mini catalog - "Beary Best Friends" as well as the Pawsitively Prints DSP. I stamped the bear on Watercolor Paper and then watercolored with Ballet Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Close to Cocoa. I sponged around the image with Ballet Blue and attached it to the denim looking DSP on Pumpkin Pie. I stamped Happy Birthday from On Your Birthday.

Sorry that it's been a while since I posted here - I was getting ready for my Annual Open House. I wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out last night! Hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed the projects we made, including this one.

This card uses several new products from the new catalog: the Lattice die for the Big Shot and the stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes, as well as the Modern Label punch. The colors used are Always Artichoke, So Saffron and Elegant Eggplant and we used the Word Window punch as well. All of the 24 sayings in the Teeny Tiny Wishes set mean you can find what you are looking to send a greeting for and I love the ease of using the Lattice die in the great Big Shot!

I'm back from my 10th Stampin' Up Convention and it was great! The card here was one of the cards I swapped this year. It uses the Humor in High Heels set and Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. To get the Kraft cardstock piece, I ran it the Big Note Die through the Big Shot both directions - it's really a cool shape and another thing you can do with that die - you end up with a bunch of brackets that I'll figure out something I can do with. I used Vintage mini brads and Melon Mambo and Whisper White cardstock as well as Basic Black ink and cardstock. I colored in the flower on the belt of the dress with a Basic Black marker and used the Eyelet Border punch as well.

Sorry it took all week for me to post, but I got back on Sunday night and then it was back to work and trying to keep up at home since the week before convention, we had been on vacation. Hopefully I'll get caught up this weekend!

I had a great time at convention, learned some new things and had great fun with my group of fellow demonstrators. I was going to include some pictures of convention, but my camera-computer connection is not working right so that will have to wait for another post.

I am off to the Stampin' Up convention in Salt Lake City tomorrow, so I thought I would post one of the cards I'll be swapping there.

This card uses one of my favorite new stamps - it's called Medallion and it's just a little bit smaller than a background stamp - this card uses about 3/4 of the stamp. This monochromatic card uses the new In Color Bermuda Bay - cardstock and ink, as well as Naturals White Cardstock, the Oval All Stamp set for the greeting, the Small Oval and Oval Scallop punches, a half pearl from the Pretties Kit (medium size) and Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Ribbon (the reverse side is solid Bermuda Bay so that's why you don't see the polka dots.
