More Googly Eyes!

Hi Stampers,

Thought I'd share another card with you for Halloween today - I used more of the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit to create another fun and easy Halloween card.

Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Lucky Limeade are the colors used here.  The Spider Web embossing folder makes it easy to texture the Pumpkin Pie cardstock and I used the scallop circle punch for the Basic Black piece.  I stamped the spider from Googly Ghouls in Black Staz-on on one of the round pieces provided in the kit and added the Baker's twine and googly eyes from the kit on the spider and the Boo, which I stamped in Lucky Limeade and punched with the Modern Label punch.

Googly Eyes

Hope that you are enjoying the awesome fall weather we've had in Chicago these last few days - most days you need the heat in the morning and the a/c in the afternoon but it's been great weather for sure.

Today I'm sharing a card that we did at my recent Big Shot Stamp Camp and it's a CASE of a card from the talented Diana Gibb.  The colors are Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie. Most of the products used are from the fabulous Holiday Mini Catalog.  The DSP for the ribbon is Howlstooth and Scaringbone from the mini and this also shows you the Ghoulish Ghoulies kit from the mini - the tag, googly eyes and baker's twine come in the kit.  The mummy is from Googly Ghouls and is stamped in Black StazOn and watercolored with ink and blender pens in Crumb Cake and Pumpkin Pie.  I taped together the background piece and ran it through the Chevron Embossing Folder and used a piece of Striped Satin Ribbon.  The Boo is stamped in StazOn and punched with the Modern Label punch and sponged with Lucky Limeade.

Hope that you are enjoying Halloween - at least it's not raining here in Chicago - just a bit cold and we don't have snow like the East Coast so life is good.

Today's share is one that I created in September and is a 3X6 card using the Frightful Sight DSP and the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set. The colors for this card are Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Basic Black & Whisper White. I used the Spider Web embossing folder for the front and attached it to the card. The part of the card that says "eeek" is actually another folded card that is attached inside (this fold is called a Joy Fold) so you open the card in two places. I decided to try this size card for something different - it's actually easy to do with all the choices of DSP we have!

Just in time for Halloween

I had my Scrap City Stamp Camp last night and so just in time for Halloween I am going to share one of the cards from that stamp camp.

This card uses only 3 colors: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie & Whisper White. The card itself is Basic Black and the Pumpkin Pie piece was run through the Big Shot Spider Web die. The scallop square was cut with the new Peekaboo Frames die from the Holiday Mini Catalog. This die is great because there are 5 different shapes and sizes of peekaboo windows. I used a scrap of Basic Black for this one and a scrap of Whisper White for the Ghost (which is the Owl Punch with the feet cut off). I addes some googly eyes (non-SU).
I added the "boo" using the Naturally Serif long die for the Big Shot in Pumpkin Pie. This die is easy to use because you can just put a scrap over the letters you need to cut out.

Then when you open the door of the frame, I used the Hostess set from the Holiday Mini called Warmest of Wishes. The Halloween owl is stamped in Basic Black Craft Ink and heat embossed with Clear embossing powder. I popped up the owl with Dimensionals and this card is complete.

Time to buy that Halloween Candy...

Well if you live in my area (Chicagoland) we are certainly having the best few weeks of fall weather I can remember (I think they said it hasn't been this nice for like 18 years here). The colors on the trees are great and the grass is still green (due to the week of rain and dreary weather we had last week) and it definitely feels like fall. I love living where the seasons change! Halloween is right around the corner and that's where today's card share comes in.

This is one of the projects that I did at my Fall Fun stamp camp in September and uses several new products from the Holiday Mini Catalog. One of them is the stamp I used which is called Haunted Forest - it's another of the single stamps available in the catalog. I stamped it in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with the new Pewter Embossing Powder from the mini. After it was embossed, I colored it with Stampin' Pastels. I used the 1" circle punch to mask the moon and then went back and colored it in after I colored the sky. I used Marina Mist, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede and Daffodil Delights pastels to color. This image is attached to a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and then a piece of Frightful Sights DSP and then to a piece of Basic Black cardstock that I folded in half and then cut with the Scallop Square die on the Big Shot (moving it down so the fold isn't cut).

Time for Halloween!

I thought I'd share a card I made last month with you - the first of the Halloween-themed ones I made. I decided to do my Halloween decorating this evening so that makes it seem like it's time.

This Halloween Card uses a really cute stamp set called Spooky Bingo Bits which I earned for free which makes it even better! I used the color in the Frightful Sight DSP - Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Basic Black. Each of the images is stamped on Whisper White in one of those 4 colors and punched with the 1.25" circle punch and layered onto a piece punched with the 1 3/8" circle punch. A fairly simple card but with this stamp set you can make many different cards because there are 24 different images to choose from. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped on Whisper White and punched with the Word Window punch. The DSP is attached to a piece of Old Olive and the card base which is Basic Black. All of the Bingo Bits images are attached to the DSP with Dimensionals.

Since our weather has definitely turned "fallish", I thought it was time to enjoy the Halloween decor. Enjoy your weekend!

One more Halloween Card...

I thought I would share with you another Halloween card I came up for this year.

Once again I used the Spider Web embossing folder - love it! and then the Happy Halloween image is from the Dark & Dreary set in the mini catalog. The image is stamped on Whisper White with Basic Black and then again stamped on Wild Wasabi which is then punched out and popped off the white image with a Dimensional. The Wild Wasabi piece behind it is stamped with the Spider Web image from the Wicked Cool set. I used a piece from the Nite Owl DSP for the Black & White strip and accented that with two white brads from the Neutrals collection of brads.

A Wicked Cool Halloween Card

I hope that everyone is enjoying the fantastic fall weather we've been having here in Chicago - can't remember another fall when the weather has been this great although we could use a little rain.

Today's share is another one of the cards that we made at my All About Fall stamp camp - this one features the Wicked Cool stamp set, the new Bat punch and the Spider Web embossing folder. The Spider Web is embossed with the Big Shot on Tangerine Tango and then I used Basic Black to accent the spider web. Of course I used Basic Black for the bats. The images from Wicked Cool are stamped on Whisper White. I used Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black and Tangerine Tango markers to color in the stamps. One of the things that I love about our clear stamps is that you can put several images on one block to stamp them, which I did here. Then I used the new Large Scallop Circle punch to punch out the image and attached it to a piece of the Nite Owl DSP which I cut out with one of the circle dies on the Big Shot.

Little Boo

Happy Halloween Everyone,

Last night I held my Wood Calendar Stamp Camp and wanted to share this Halloween insert we made for it. You'll be seeing all of the inserts at some point.

I used Little Boo, a single stamp from page 208 in this year's catalog. The single stamps are really great. There are more featured in the Mini Catalog as well on page 31.

Anyway, for this insert I used Only Orange, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock as well as one of the window sheets that comes in the Night & Day DSP from the Mini Catalog. I stamped Little Boo in Versamark and heat embossed it in Black. I punched him out with the 1.25" punch, the Only Orange with the 1 3/8" punch and the Basic Black with the 1.75" punch. I layered Little Boo onto the Only Orange with a Stampin' Dimensional. I also used Black Brads from the Vintage Brands to adhere the Window Sheet. Lastly I stamped Happy Halloween from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Black.

We had a great time at this stamp camp and I'm looking forward to sharing more of these with you as well as looking forward to my next stamp camp on November 20 where we will be getting ready for the holidays with tags & cards!

Another Halloween Card

Since Halloween is only a few days away, I thought that I would share another card with you. It seems that my favorite color combo for Halloween is Lovely Lilac, Only Orange & Basic Black. This card was from my Shape Up Stamp Camp. I used the cool stamp set Sweet Centers for this card as well as the Batty jumbo wheel. I stamped the image and heat embossed it (Versamark and Black Embossing Powder). Then I used the 1.75" circle punch to punch out the center. Then I attached the Treat Cup to the card. In order to get the treats out of the cup without destroying the card, I used an idea I saw on someone's blog and created a pocket on the inside of the card and then made a tag you pull up to get the treat out. The "Eek you're sweet" image is what I punched out of my original image. Hope you like this card!

Almost Halloween

Well since it's almost Halloween I thought I'd share this card with you. I made it when I was playing around with the Big Shot Movers & Shapers dies for a meeting the other night. This card uses the cute Little Boo stamp (it's one of the single stamps on page 208 of the catalog). The colors of ribbon and cardstock are Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie & Lovely Lilac. The Boo stamp is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in Black. I used the 1.25" punch to punch out the image and then the larger circle and the Circle Movers & Shapers die from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I also used the Batty jumbo wheel across the top. I prefer Halloween cards that are cute, not scary so this one fits that bill!
