Baby! Baby!

Hi Stampers,

I wanted to share some more of the fun 3X3 cards we made at my last stamp camp - these cards are great for gift bags or just a little note.

These baby cards use the Baby Bundle Stamp Set which is just perfect for the Paper Piecing Technique I used for both of them - one in Blushing Bride and one in Pear Pizzazz. I stamped the buggy stamp on the Whisper White and then on Blushing Bride or Pear Pizzazz and then cut the colored cardstock out to paper piece it. I stamped the baby's face after I stamped the buggy. All of the stamping is in Basic Black. I also stamped the teddy bear and cut it out and then I used the smallest heart from the Heart to Heart punch for the heart and stamped it with the buggy stamp again to get the dots on it. Blushing Bride marker for the heels and I added a pearl on this one and it's finished. The DSP background pieces are from Nursery Nest. Perfect for that next baby shower!

My next stamping event is my annual Hostess/Customer Appreciation Event which is on March 18 at 1:00 - RSVP now if you're attending this FREE event and bring a friend!

Keep Stamping and enjoy the taste of spring we're having in Chicagoland!

Birthday Cards in 3X3

Hi Stampers,

Well another week has gone by and I haven't posted as much as I wanted to, but I thought I'd share a few of the 3X3 cards we made at last week's Stamp Camp. This card is a great size for including with a gift bag or any gift you are giving.

I created these cards in sets of two - they use similar colors, stamp sets, DSP, etc. This one uses the I Dig You stamp set and uses Pacific Point, Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White. I stamped the wheels twice and then punched them with the 1" circle punch and added 5/16" brads for the centers. I colored the truck with Pacific Point and Real Red markers and the wheels with Basic Black. The Happy Birthday is also colored with the markers and is from On Your Birthday. Perfect for a boy's birthday gift.

The second card in this set uses the single stamp Packed for Birthday from the Occasions mini catalog. It demonstrates the Spotlighting Technique. You stamp the entire image in Black Stazon (this is on Naturals White cardstock) and then stamp it again on the cardsock and use the 1.25" circle punch for the area you are spotlighting. In this case, I watercolored the balloons in Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight and Read Red. Then it is attached to a Daffodil 1 3/8" circle punch and adhered to the card with Dimensionals. Another card that is great for a birthday.

Hope you enjoy these cards and have a great weekend!

Online Extravaganza!

Hi there Stampers!

From November 23-30, Stampin' Up is holding an "Online Extravaganza" where you can save up to 50% on selected product bundles and products. You can click on the info in the upper left corner of this post to order through my website or e-mail me to place an order!

I thought I'd show you an example or two of one of the bundles using the Four Square Stamp Set and the Scallop Square Punch & the Trio Flower Punch. The 3 X 3 card on the left was made at my "Copy the Catalog" Stamp Camp last spring using Real Red, Only Orange and Bashful Blue, as well as Whisper White cardstock.

Then for a Convention Swap I changed it slightly and made the 3 X 3 card on the right using Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry and Old Olive and the Star punch as well as the Scallop Square. Just some quick and easy ideas for this really cute stamp set and punch. Both times I stamped the image twice, cut out the word "Congrat" with my snips and used Dimensionals to pop it off the card.

Once again, Happy Thanksgiving!
