Just wanted to take a minute to say Happy Easter to you all!  I hope that you have the opportunity to go to church tomorrow and celebrate Easter and the Jesus' resurrection.  

Today I'm sharing an easy card to create that uses one of the single stamps in the Spring Mini Catalog called Easter Blessings.  This card uses Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant as well as one of the doilies from the Spring Mini.  The stamp is cut out with one of the Oval Framelits and accented with pearls.  The ribbon is the Elegant Eggplant Polka Dot ribbon.  An easy card to make but very pretty and perfect colors for Easter.

Easter Weekend

Well, although the weather continues to be more winter than spring, it's Easter weekend and so I want to share a card with you today using the Easter Blossoms set from the Occasions mini catalog.

I made this card originally for a workshop I had at the end of March and it uses the Springtime Vintage DSP. I used the colors from the DSP for my card - Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Very Vanilla. I stamped the girl and the greeting in Baja Breeze. The greeting is punched with the large oval punch and the background is the scalloped oval punch. I also used the Scallop Border punch to punch both sides of the Night Quite Navy piece. I accented the center with the Chantilly trim and used a small stamp from the set for the sides of the Baja Breeze card. This Easter Blossoms set is only available through April 30 in the Occasions Mini Catalog as is the Springtime Vintage DSP.

Stamping & Chocolate...3 Easter Samples

Just thought I'd share a few Easter Samples that I made this week - I had been meaning to use the Chocolate Bunny stamp and never got around to it until now.

This first sample is a 3X3 card - perfect for adding to a bouquet of flowers or an Easter Basket. The Chocolate Bunny stamp is stamped in Chocolate Chip Craft ink on Close to Cocoa cardstock and then heat embossed with Clear Embossing powder. The card itself is Certainly Celery and I used one of the stamps from Sprinkles for the background. I used "Happy Easter" from A Good Egg for the greeting stamped in Chocolate Chip and the backing piece is from the Tea Party DSP. Both greeting pieces are punched out with the oval punches. I used the Jewelry Tag punch from the Occasions mini catalog for the fenceposts - a very clever idea someone came up with (not me!).

This next sample uses the Milk Carton Die for the Big Shot and the Eggcoutrements set (both are also in the Occasions Mini). The milk carton is Lavender Lace cardstock which I ran through the Big Shot and then wheeled with the Fast Flowers wheel in Lavender Lace ink. I stamped the basket from Eggcoutrements in Certainly Celery on Whisper White, punched it out with the Large Tag punch and used a Barely Banana mini brad to accent it. I love how the stamps in this set match our punches! Fill it with M&M's or jelly beans and you have a great favor. I used one of the Library clips to keep it closed.

Today's third sample (I've been busy this week) also uses the same color scheme and the Chocolate Bunny stamp (again embossed Chocolate Chip on Close to Cocoa). I again used Certainly Celery for the card and Tea Party DSP for the background. I used the greeting from Eggcoutrements stamped in Certainly Celery and put it into the Silver Hodgepodge hardware that matches the stamp and the Designer Label punch. I used the Scallop Trim Border & Corner punches (yes I finally made them work together). Then I attached the bunny with Dimensionals and threaded a piece of Pretty in Pink satin ribbon through the scallops to finish off the card.

How Time Flies!

Today is the one year anniversary of my blog - can't believe that time has flown by so quickly. I hope that you have enjoyed my blog posts over this past year and in the next year as well.

Today's sample is one that we made today at my Hostess/Customer Appreciation Event. We had a great time creating a few projects, winning door prizes and eating!

This simple Easter card is made using the Big Shot and the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder on Bashful Blue. The card is Pretty in Pink cardstock and Very Vanilla cardstock. The Easter greeting is from the Eggcoutrements set from the Occasions Mini Catalog and is stamped in Certainly Celery on Very Vanilla and punched out with the Designer Label punch so that it fits perfectly in the Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware piece. A little hint with these...the easiest way to make it fit into the Hodgepodge Hardware piece is to use a few Stampin' Dimensionals to put the punched piece on the card and then lay the Hodgepodge Hardware piece and attach it with the brads - that way you don't have to worry about fitting the punched piece into the hardware. I used Pretty in Pink brads to complete the card.

Hope this card makes it feel like spring since Easter is only a few weeks away! After snow on the first day of spring, I'm ready to put the snow brush away and keep the windows open for more than a few hours.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter and share this card - we made this card for my Big Shot Stamp Camp. It uses the SU Background #1 Texturz Plate (on Almost Amethyst CS), Simple Flower Embosslit and SU Little Leaves Sizzlit (in Certainly Celery) for the Big Shot. I added half pearls from the Pretties Kit and very "springy" Tea Party DSP. I used a sponge dauber to accent the Almost Amethyst & So Saffron Flowers, the Certainly Celery SAB Ribbon and Happy Easter from "A Good Egg". Now I just hope the weather warms up for Easter so we don't have to wear winter coats to church! Have a great weekend!

In my first "official" blog post, I just want to say thanks for checking out my blog - I'm not sure how often I'll be posting to my blog, but I'm aiming for 2-3 times/week. I wanted to show you one of the 3 cards we made this past Friday night at my Customer Appreciation event. This one uses Botanical Blooms & All Holidays Stamp Sets , Darling Dots DSP, Celery Ribbon from the SAB Ribbon Bundle, So Saffron Chalk & Marker, Whisper White Ink & CS, Certainly Celery Marker & CS, Sahara Sand CS & Scallop Edge Punch.

We had a great time creating 3 cards and a basket to put them in - using the SAB Darling Dots Designer Series Paper and several SAB sets - tomorrow is the last day of this year's Sale-a-braton - you can order through my website until about 10:00 p.m. CST tomorrow night, March 31.
