Hi Stampers,
Hope that all of you are enjoying 2012 so far. Sorry not to have posted recently, but we took a family vacation to Orlando after Christmas and just returned - the weather in Chicago since we came back is almost the same as it was in Florida - what a strange winter it's been here! Of course now today those 50 degree days are over and it's been snowing all day but they were nice while they lasted - but it is January in Chicago so we expect snow.
Today's share is a card I made for a bridal shower I recently attended and it uses several new products from the new Occasions Mini Catalog. The wedding colors are Eggplant and Silver (I know because I created the invitations - with lots of help from the wedding party). I'll share those another time.
This is a note card size card - 3.5X5 which come prescored and with envelopes in Whisper White. I took a strip of Elegant Eggplant and ran it through one of the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folders - you get three different designs - this one is hearts and they are about the size of 1/3 of a regular embossing folder - great for adding a little something to a card.
The hearts are from a new stamp set from the Mini Catalog called Take it to Heart and are stamped with Versamark ink on Elegant Eggplant and heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. This particular heart is the perfect size for the Heart punch so I punched them out and attached them with Dimensionals. I added a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes - definitely a set everyone should have - it has greetings for every occasion and holiday - it's stamped in Elegant Eggplant and punched with the Modern Label punch. I added some Rhinestones for bling on the sentiment and the card is done.
Hope you have time to stamp more in the 2012! If you're in Chicago, have fun in the snow! And congrats to Matt & Amy the happy couple!
Keep Stamping,
