Back from Leadership

Hi Stampers,

Well I am back from last week's great time of stamping, fun and friends in San Antonio. I had a great time at Stampin' Up's annual Leadership Conference and Regional events. What is Leadership? Well, it's a gathering of demonstrators who qualify to attend by their business growth and those in their downline as well (those who have signed up to be demonstrators under them). We attended some great classes including "Why Women Buy" with Carrie Cudney, "Including a New Generation in Your Stamping Business" with Amy Swartz & Paula Critchlow and "Retaining & Engaging Your Downline" with Donna Griffith. Leadership also means stamping and today's card is one of the Make & Takes we did - I did mine in advance because I was chosen to be a helper during Make & Takes which was another fun experience as well.

This card uses the new Mixed Bunch stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog stamped in Daffodil Delight on Whisper White, in Lucky Limeade on Lucky Limeade cardstock and in Poppy Parade on Poppy Parade cardstock on the "rickrack" piece. That piece is made by using the Scallop Border punch and then putting the cardstock back on the opposite side and offsetting the scallops - a cool technique. The two Whisper White flowers use the new Blossom Punch and then I cut the petals on one for a different look. The light yellow flower is a part of the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit which also coordinates with the stamp set. The Thanks is from the Kind Thanks stamp in Thank You Kindly - you stamp it and cut out the part you need. We actually made two of this card and donated one to Ronald McDonald House, which is one of the organizations Stampin' Up supports.
